Movie Review: Rush (2013)

A re-creation of the merciless biopic 1970s rivalry between Formula One rivals James Hunt and Niki Lauda.
Daniel Brühl as Niki lauda, Chris Hemsworth as James Hunt, Olivia Wilde.

Set against the glamor golden age of Formula 1 racing in the 1970s, Rush explains the true story of the great rivalry between handsome English playboy James Hunt and his methodical, skilled brilliant opponent, Austrian driver Niki Lauda. The story chronicles their distinctly different personal styles on and off the track, their loves and the terrific 1976 season in which both drivers were willing to risk everything to become world champion in the sport.

The soundtrack to Rush is a success from the starting line to the chequered flag, and if the high profiles of the artists featured on the album are any indication of the quality of the film, then it will surely be one not to miss. The score moves with the speed.
The film’s music, however, does not seem so concerned with racing culture but instead seems to focus on the energy of the sport and the danger its participants put themselves in.

It gets good even if you know the real story, but gets better if you don’t.

This is offcourse my favorite film of the year and its going to take allot to knock it off its pedestal.
